Yeah, Mike, I’ve read it. More of the usual self-hating self-loathing I hate my people crap because Israel’s conduct exposes her to the vilification of Jews which she might escape if she turns on Israel.

There are at least five Iranian films being showcased at the film festival some which spotlight and feature Tehran. In light of the ongoing persecution and oppression of its populations, may we expect an organized protest from Wazana and her friends? Not likely.

I think the CIC needs to work closer with the already in place Jewish institutions in Canada, such as Honest Reporting who work diligently not necessarily at ‘just siding with Israel’ but at ‘the truth of the matter’ – we don’t need to side with Israel, we already do; we don’t need anyone preaching to the choir!
We do desperately need Honest Reporters and tougher laws on dishonest reporting, nationally as well as internationally.

How blind do can you be to not see the reality?

Everyone knows that Israel is ‘Illegal’. How can you just go into some country, claim its your ‘promised land’, kick the people out onto the streets, make them live in poverty with no clean water, bulldoze their homes and then build luxury houses with swimming pools (true irony) in place for the Jewish people. To think this promised land was once going to be somewhere in Africa. I’m a historian.
